Teresa is a singer actor, born in Alice Springs, raised in rural Northern Territory (Warumungu, Central Australia).
She studied Music, Education and ARTS (Theatre), completing her studies at the University of New South Wales. It was here where she worked under the direction of Rochelle Whyte and Mark Mitchel in the production of The Memorandum. She then combined her skills in voice and acting with dance at NIDA, training in Musical Theatre under the tutelage of Simon Masterton, Mitchel Butel, Emma Hawthorne and Nicholas Brown. Teresa continues her music training with vocal coach Simon Masterton. She furthered her ON-CAMERA acting skills at NIDA in late 2016, studying Screen Acting with Emma Jackson.
Teresa also uses her skills in creative arts and Education, teaching in both primary and high schools in music and drama in Sydney.
Teresa is a seasoned storyteller. She spends much of her life writing in various forms, and holds a unique voice in this landscape, believing in un-institutionalised writing expressions inspiring deep thinking through lyrical prose and poetry. This is something she has recently used to inspire a series of Children's writings.
Teresa has also worked on the development of Jatinga, as part of the Invisible Circus Women’s Festival at Kings Cross Theatre in 2016 where she was invited to play a lead role in the 2017 - sold out – world premier, under the direction of Suzanne Miller for Bakehouse Theatre Company. Thereafter, Teresa has been involved in various short films and content for online and on screen, including guest appearing in short film 'Girl and Body', directed by Charlotte Mars (Gayby Baby) and starring alongside Hugh Jackman in QANTAS' Celebrating Australian Diversity campaign amongst her 2018 endeavours..
Teresa trained with TV ProGlobal, where she extended her ability to effectively host and present engaging content for online markets, particularly in the genres of Children's Entertainment and Charity - Documentary presenting, which is complimented by an in depth knowledge gained from her qualifications in Music, ARTS Theatre and Education. She also delivers delivers consistent clarity, intelligence and diversity as a multilingual Voiceover Artist working consistently and nationally in Australia with RMK MANAGEMENT.
She loves working with a variety of Australian accents, though in particular, she loves voicing in the Filipino and various Australian and American accents.
Teresa has worked in Musical Theatre based shows as well, including 'Soul Cabaret' with Madison Mckoy, Katrina Retallic and Damon Grebert-Wade, 'The Things I Could Never Tell Steven' (Broadway, Sydney Fringe, West End) a new original Australian comedy, written by Australian composer and lyricist Jye Bryant and at the Sydney Theatre Company in Dear Evan Hansen, directed by Dean Bryant. She also starred as Mrs Aquino in the ABC children's television show, The Unlisted.
